DAIRY CALCIUM MYTH DEBUNKED
THEE most INCONVENIENT TRUTH!
PROBLEM/SOLUTION
When I got to the farm, I could see that a cow had just calved. The young calf was just a few hours old and was suckling. I stood watching and smiling There is no more beautiful sight. The farmer came over and - I thought - tousled the calf’s ear. But there was a gun in his other hand and he put it to the calf’s head. When the shot fired, the mother jumped and ran. The calf went down kicking but he didn’t die outright. He was dragged away, still kicking as the milk spilled from his mouth.’ ~ Relief worker. VIA http://www.facebook.com/Dairy.TheTruth?sk=wall
Cows Don’t Make Milk, MOTHERS do
VEAL is a BYPRODUCT of the DAIRY industry!
WHAT exactly this means?
COWS don’t make milk, only
PREGNANT (MOTHER) COWS make milk
NOT for OTHER BEINGS consumption but for their BABY CALFS
The Gentle Barn: Karma's Reunion
Just like HUMAN MOTHERS don’t produce milk unless they are PREGNANT when THEIR MILK is needed for THEIR BABIES, NOT for OTHER BEINGS
COWS used in the industry farming don’t get NATURALLY pregnant
In order for them to CONSTANTLY PRODUCE MILK, they are CONSTANTLY kept PREGNANT via the SPERM GUN RAPING METHOD, getting ARTIFICIALLY and painfully PREGNANT so that they are ALWAYS full of MILK
A cow used in industry farming is getting pregnant on an average of 10 TIMES MORE than she would, through a natural method
Meanwhile, in order for them to also KEEP the artificially impregnated produced milk, THEIR CALVES OFFSPRING are REMOVED IMMEDIATELY so that they DON’T WASTE “PRECIOUS” MILK which is destined for HUMAN GREED AND COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY, UNHEALTHY CONSUMPTION
NOW, with SO MANY “USELESS” MALE CALVES, WHAT ELSE, CAN BE DONE by the GREEDY AND EVIL DAIRY MEAT INDUSTRY?
Of course: SLAUGHTER the CALVES and that’s how the VEAL INDUSTRY has been born.
Now, considering that we have DECADES LONG and piles upon piles of evidence
That HUMANS were never meant to consume other mammifer’s milk, and being the ONLY ones that have been DUPED do so, learning how in fact ANIMAL PROTEIN of ANY kind not only does not improve our health but makes our bodies ACIDIC, LEACHING OUT PRECIOUS BONE MINERALS (CALCIUM), CREATING OSTEOPOROSIS, considering the shocking, completely unnecessary CRUELTY that inevitably comes with this sick game in order for our supermarkets to be filled with piles of UNHEALTHY, CRUELTY OBTAINED WHITE SECRETION FILLED WITH PUS from heavily abused sentient beings, MLKED BY MACHINERIES DAY IN DAY OUT…why would we continue to LOOK AWAY?
Considering ALL of this, WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WE CONTINUE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS HOLOCAUST AND IN OUR SELF AND PLANETARY DESTRUCTION? Think and feel this is painful? Try to MENTALLY place yourselves in any of those sentient beings “shoes” and contemplate deeply what your “life” would be like under such conditions. VEGANISM is the only answer. Between the CRUELTY, moral, ethical, spiritual, HEALTH and PLANETARY aspects, why else would we not want to be part of REAL CHANGE? It is time to put an end once and for all to the animals holocaust and most of our worldly major problems will be solved. In this page, HEALTHY, CRUELTY FREE MILK ALTERNATIVES INFO IS WIDELY AVAILABLE.
Milk approved by the USDA meets allowable somatic cell counts (essentially an allowable level of blood & pus that determines the quality of the milk), so yes there is blood & pus in milk.
It is not propaganda; it's merely a fact.

Motherhood and Milk
- BACTERIA
Cow's milk is allowed to have feces in it. This is a major source for bacteria. Milk is typically pasteurized more than once before it gets to your table... each time for only 15 seconds at 162 degrees Fahrenheit.
To sanitize water one is told to boil it (212 degrees F) for several minutes. That is a tremendous disparity, isn't it!
Keep in mind that at room temperature the number of bacteria in milk DOUBLE around every 20 minutes. No wonder milk turns rotten very quickly.
PUS
ONE cubic centimeter (cc) of commercial cow's milk is allowed to have up to 750,000 somatic cells (common name is "PUS") and 20,000 live bacteria... before it is kept off the market.
That amounts to a whopping 20 million live squiggly bacteria and up to 750 MILLION pus cells per liter (bit more than a quart).
1 cup = 236.5882cc 177,441,150 pus cells ~ 4,731,600 bacteria
24 oz (3 glasses) = 532,323,450 pus cells ~ 14,220,000 bacteria
(the "recommended" daily intake)
The EU and the Canadians allow for a less "tasty" 400,000,000 pus cells per liter.
Typically these levels are lower... but they COULD reach these levels and still get to YOUR table.

Milk creates allergies:
Cow’s milk allergies create problems in the respiratory and/or digestive tracts with symptoms like post-nasal drip, sinusitis, excess secretion of mucous, catarrh, asthma, eczema, hayfever, vomiting, bronchitis, urticaria, sleeplessness, headaches, pimples, oedema (water retention), gas, constipation, diarrhoea, spastic colon, abdominal pain, and persistent colic. The allergies are caused by casein and beta lactoglobulin.
When dairy products are removed from the diet, the problems often clear up completely.

Cow's Milk is difficult to digest:
Cow’s milk curds are dense and difficult to digest. Low-fat and skimmed milk’s protein content is even higher, and has been shown to produce a higher calcium loss through the urinary tract.
After age 3 (when we are weaned) we do not secrete the enzyme rennin that breaks down milk protein, nor the enzyme lactase to digest lactose (milk sugar) and transform it to sugars that our body can use (glucose and galactose). Mature animals' and humans' bodies are not geared to drink milk.

Cow’s milk is for calves, not humans:
Cow’s milk is designed to turn a 30kg calf into a 275 kg cow in 6 months. The calcium, protein (300% more casein than mother’s milk), iron, phosphorous and essential fatty acid content is very different from human milk. It is high in cholesterol, low in carbohydrates and contains no fibre.

SOLUTIONS:
Oat Milk
Oat milk has a pleasant, slightly sweet taste and a milky consistently. Oat milk is commercially available or you can easily make your own at home.
One of the advantages of oats over other grains is that it is the only grain to contain high levels of protein similar to those found in legumes.
Aside from protein, oat milk is said to contain 10 essential minerals and 15 vitamins. A single glass of oat milk can contain up to 35% Recommended Daily Allowance of calcium, making it a particularly good milk substitute. It is also a low fat and cholesterol free alternative to milk.

Rice Milk
Rice milk is generally thinner in consistency than nut milks or soymilk, and it has a lighter, sweeter flavor that is perfect for using with cereal or in coffee. While rice milk works well in baking recipes, for using in dairy-free sauce recipes it generally requires some sort of binding or stabilizing agent such as agar flakes, eggs, flour or xanthan gum.
Rice milk contains more carbo...hydrates than cow's milk. However, unlike cow's milk, rice milk doesn't contain lactose or cholesterol. This makes it healthy for your heart as well as safe for those who are lactose intolerant.
Rice milk doesn't contain as much calcium or protein as cow's milk. Since rice milk doesn't contain a lot of protein, those who use rice milk as a milk substitute must plan to include more protein in their diet through other means. Most commercial brands of rice milk, however, are fortified with calcium. This is why a serving of fortified rice milk provides the same amount of calcium as a serving of cow's milk. Rice milk is also often fortified with niacin, vitamin B12, vitamin A, vitamin D and iron.
Almond Milk
Once referred to as amygdalate, almond milk used to be a common ingredient in medieval Europe and the Middle East. It is now slowly regaining popularity as an alternative to milk. An extract of protein-rich almonds, almond milk is slightly beige in color, with a nutty taste and creamy texture. You can make your own milk from fresh almonds or buy a prepackaged, processed product from health-food shops and some supermarkets. It comes in flavors such as plain, vanilla and chocolate. Drink almond milk straight or add to coffee, tea or hot chocolate. You can also add it to smoothies, non-dairy ice-cream or savory dishes.

Coconut Milk
Prepared from fresh coconut meat, coconut milk is a great option for richer dairy-free dishes. Although it is high in fat and saturated fat, coconut milk is a delicious way to add creaminess to any number of dairy-free and vegan dishes, from curries to pasta sauces to puddings to dairy-free whipped cream.
Coconut milk contains many vitamins, minerals and electrolytes, including potassium, calcium and chloride.
The saturated fat in coconut is made up of short-chain and medium-chain fatty acids the body quickly turns into energy instead of storing as fat. Therefore, even though it's high in saturated fat, coconut can aid in weight loss. Half the medium-chain fatty acids in coconut milk are composed of lauric acid, which is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti-fungal. Coconut milk can help boost the immune system.
Coconut milk is known to relieve the symptoms of sore throats and ulcers and is used in skin-care products to moisturize the skin and relieve dry skin and rashes. It also can be used on the hair and in baths.

PCRM Billboards Warn About Cheese
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) is using billboards through Albany, NY to raise awareness about the link between obesity and cheese intake. PCRM wants the Albany city school district to cut cheese from its lunch menu, which is loaded with it. One in three students in New York is overweight or obese. To read the article please visit http://wnyt.com/article/stories/s2457731.shtml
Cheese is high in saturated fat, cholesterol and animal protein, which are very unhealthy for humans. Obesity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer have been linked to diets rich in animal products. Feeding children these kinds of diets is likely setting them up for an unhealthy life.
NOT THERE yet but it’s started
From The China Study
P. 6, In an in-depth laboratory program investigating the role of nutrition, especially protein, in the development of cancer:
What we found was shocking. Low-protein diets inhibited the initiation of cancer by aflatoxin, regardless of how much this carcinogen was administered to these animals. After cancer initiation was completed, low-protein diets also dramatically blocked subsequent cancer growth. In other words, the cancer-producing effects of this highly carcinogenic chemical were rendered insignificant by a low-protein diet. In fact, dietary protein proved to be so powerful in its effect that we could turn on and turn off cancer growth by changing the level consumed.
Furthermore, the amounts of protein being fed were those that we humans routinely consume. We didn't use extraordinary levels, as is so often the case in carcinogen studies.
But that's not all. We found that not all proteins had this effect. What protein consistently and strongly promoted cancer? Casein, which makes up 87% of cow's milk protein, promoted all stages of the cancer process. What type of protein did not promote cancer, even at high levels of intake? The safe proteins were from plants, including wheat and soy.

From The China Study
P. 204, On Osteoporosis
Americans consume more cow's milk and its products per person than most populations in the world. So Americans should have wonderfully strong bones, right? Unfortunately not. A recent study showed that American women aged fifty and older have one of the highest rates of hip fractures in the world. The only countries with higher rates are in Europe and the south Pacific (Australia and New Zealand) where they consume even more milk than the United States.
From The China Study
P. 205, On Osteoporosis
...animal protein, unlike plant protein, increases the acid load in the body. An increased acid load means that our blood and tissues become more acid. The body does not like this acidic environment and begins to fight it. In order to neutralize the acid, the body uses calcium, which acts as a very effective base. This calcium, however, must come from somewhere. It ends up being pulled from the bones, and the calcium loss weakens them, putting them in greater risk for fracture.
From the Skinny Bitch
P. 57, The Dairy Disaster
Mother Nature is no fool. All species, including ours, have just what we need to get by. She did not intend for grownups to suck their mother's tits. We don't need our mother's milk as adults, just like grown cows don't need their mother's milk anymore. We are the only species on the planet that drinks milk as adults. We are also the only species on the planet that drinks the milk of another species. We could be putting gorilla milk on our cereal or having zebra milk and cookies. Why cows' milk? Using the animal that produces the largest quantity of milk but is more easily housed than the elephant means more money for farmers. It has nothing to do with health or nutrition. Again, it all comes back to money. The dairy industry is a multibillion-dollar industry based on brilliant marketing and the addictive taste of milk, butter, and cheese. It has convinced most doctors, consumers, and government agencies that we need cows' milk. We have been told our whole lives, "You need milk to grow. Without milk, your bones will break. If you don't drink milk, you'll get osteoporosis. You need the calcium." Bullshit.
Researchers at Harvard, Yale, Penn State, and the National Institutes of Health have studied the effects of dairy intake on bones. Not one of these studies found dairy to be a deterrent to osteoporosis. On the contrary, a study funded by the National Dairy Council itself revealed that the high protein content of dairy actually leaches calcium from the body. After looking at thirty-four published studies in sixteen countries, researchers at Yale University found that the countries with the highest rates of osteoporosis --- including the United States, Sweden, and Finland --- were those in which people consumed the most meat, milk, and other animal foods.

Did you know that the vast majority of people on earth do not consume dairy products; nor do they experience problems related to bone density... It does seem unlikely that humans could be the only species on earth that requires breast milk into adulthood, or that we would need milk from a different species. And how arrogant is it to assume that it's OK for us to make a cow pregnant every year, take away her babies shortly after birth, steal her milk, and then kill most of her calves or confine them in tiny crates for three months and then kill them...

HEALING from the GROUND UP
http://agnvegglobal.blogspot.com/2012/01/all-links-healing-from-ground-up.html
Did you know that cows don't produce milk just because they are cows... They produce milk as food for their newborn calves. Since male calves can't be milked, they are of little value to the dairy industry. Most will be taken from their mothers and killed within a few days of birth. Perhaps a third of the male calves will be confined in tiny veal crates, and chained at the neck in one spot for their entire brief lives. This is what we say YES to when we purchase milk and other dairy products.
The dairy industry impregnates cows inorder for them to make milk (cows, like humans need to be pregnate to make milk). Once that calf is born they (dairy industry) takes the baby away from he's or her's mother and kills it for meat (veal).... The mother (dairy cow) is pumped up to 3 times a day in unsanitary holding units (cages). When that cow can no longer become pregnate or make milk she is killed for cheap meat to some fast food restaurants.
Eatting meat= animal(s) directly killed
Eatting dairy and eggs= animal(s) "indirectly" killed
If you support the dairy industry you support the veal industry (the meat industry).

For those ignorant people who claim cows don't have to have a calf to produce milk, I suggest a little education.

COWS GIVE US MILK
by Jenny Moxham
...
"Cows give us milk" how often do we hear that little phrase,
It sounds so inoffensive, don't you think?
It simply wouldn't sound as nice to say "we steal the milk
That's intended for a new born calf to drink".
And it wouldn't do to say that cows are forced to have a baby,
Not one baby but a baby every year,
For a cow, like any lady, has to have a little baby
Or her milk supply will simply disappear.
And it wouldn't seem so civilized to publicize the fact
That the tiny babe is snatched away and killed,
So the milk designed to feed him can be cleverly extracted
Just so human folk can have their tummies filled.
So this oft repeated phrase makes the dairy people happy,
Those who drink the milk are happy, and it seems a happy scene,
But the cow with udder swollen, and her new born baby stolen
Is the sad and tragic victim of this industry obscene".
Millions of baby calves are killed each year in the U.K.The mother cow is forced to produce about ten times as much milk as nature intended and is killed at about 7 years of age. Her natural life-span would be about 20 years. (v)

"There is virtually no evidence that drinking two or three glasses of milk a day reduces the chances of breaking a bone." - Walter C. Willet, MD - Chairman of the Department of Nutrition, Harvard School of Public Health.
Did you know that cow milk has a huge protein content... four times as concentrated as the proteins in human breast milk. Cow milk is very high in protein because it's purpose is to turn a 65 lb. calf into a 500 lb. cow in less than a year. Humans pay a big price, healthwise, for all the excess animal protein we're consuming. The China Health Study revealed a clear link between the consumption of animal proteins – not fat or cholesterol particularly – to heart disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and hormone related cancers. Milk YUCK!
One glass of cow milk contains a dropper full of green , yellow or white pus. Cheese has even more concentrated pus. It causes osteoporosis, an acidic body, is considered liquid meat, really clogs your arteries, and milking cows ...suffer massively more than a bull due to the extreme excessive milking. After a few years, maybe 4, all milking cows are taken to slaughter. Coconut and almond milk is cruelty free, with no antibiotics or growth hormone and is so delicious! Daiya vegan cheese is amazing and so is coconut ice cream, and tofutti cream cheese. Via:Laurie Turunen
This stunning sculpture by Liu Qiang is an accurate depiction of humanity's use of, and utter dependence on other animals and, in particular, the savage and bizarre habit of consuming the breast milk from mothers of other species—milk that ...these mothers have produced for their own babies, babies that we forced them to become pregnant with only to kill shortly after birth so that we can take the bereft mother's milk, milk that we drink as though we were the children that we murdered. Live vegan. There is no excuse not to. ~ Joanna Lucas

Milk The Deadly Poison WATCH THIS!!!
Did you know that Penn State Young Women's Health Study tracked eighty 12-year-old females for 10 years, and found that calcium intake had almost no effect on bone health, but exercise had a major effect... Similarly, the Harvard Nurses Health Study, which ran for 18 years, showed that those who didn't consume cow milk had stronger bones than those who drank 2-3 glasses of milk per day. Don Robertson
In order to maintain uninterrupted milk production, cows are forced year after year to go through an endless cycle of pregnancy and birth, only to have their calves immediately taken from them. Cows and calves cry out for each other as they... are separated.
All forms of dairy farming involve forcibly impregnating cows. This involves a person inserting his arm far into the cow’s rectum in order to position the uterus, and then forcing an instrument into her vagina. The restraining apparatus used is commonly called a “rape rack.”
Half of all calves born are male. Of no use in milk production, they are sent to veal-producing operations or directly to auctions where they are sold and slaughtered when they are just a few days old. Male calves used for veal production suffer a crude castration process and are killed after 4 months spent in small crates or pens.
After just 4 to 6 years, dairy cows are “spent” from being forced to continuously produce milk. Often weak and ill, they endure transport to auction and slaughter, both of which are traumatic for these gentle animals. If allowed to exist free of exploitation and slaughter, cows can live 25 years or more. ~ Humane Myth (m)

"The protein in milk, particularly casein, while perfect for baby cows, is too large and difficult for us to digest. Calves have a particular enzyme, rennin, not present in humans, that coagulates and helps breaks down casein. According to renowned nutrition researcher T. Colin Campbell, “Cows’ milk protein may be the single most significant chemical carcinogen to which humans are exposed.”

Did you know that lactose intolerance is not a disorder, it's quite normal... About 70% of the world's population loses the ability to digest milk sugars upon weaning, in around the third year of life. It's a signal that our bodies no longer need breast milk of any kind, especially from animals of a different species than our own. Don Robertson
