Is eating animal products a matter of "personal choice"?

Well, you certainly have the legal right to eat meat, dairy, eggs, etc.

But so what? The law protects many choices that we would all agree are immoral.

The real question is: Do you have the moral right to exploit the vulnerable simply because you can choose to do so? Is it morally okay to be a bully because the law allows you to be a bully? Do you have the moral right to choose to consume someone's body or the milk intended for the baby of another when you can be perfectly healthy and nourished by eating plant foods?

Let's boil it down: Do you have the moral right to inflict suffering and death on another because you like the taste?

I think that the answer is crystal clear. But I think that most people think that the answer is clear when the question is posed in this way.

What most of us already believe commits us to a vegan diet (and to veganism generally).
